Year 13 Sociology Visit To Teesside Crown Court

To support their A Level studies Year 13 sociology students spent the morning at Teesside Crown Court in Middlesbrough. Students sat in on cases, watched jury’s in action, observed the work carried out by different members of the court room and experienced the legal system in action. This gave them an insight into the practicalities of carrying out justice in the UK and allowed them the opportunity to compare the reality of the system to theory learnt in the classroom.
