National Schools’ Equestrian Championships

Two Year 10 students represented Carmel College at the NSEA Championships at Keysoe in Bedfordshire last weekend. One competed in the 85cm JWS (jumping with style) class on her pony. They jumped a lovely round with 2 unfortunate poles over a very technical course. They picked up the 6th best style mark. However, the jumping penalties knocked them out of the top placings.

The other one made it into the top 10 individuals’ jump off in the 95cm and 105m Showjumping. They also got very good style marks in the 95cm JWS but accumulated 8 time faults to knock them out of the placings. We are hoping to see more Carmel students at NSEA competitions next year. Full results and information about the qualifying competitions are available on the NSEA website.
