The Darlington Schools Cycle Cross Championships is to be held on the Saturday 4 November 2017. The event is an excellent opportunity for all pupils to experience the exciting sport of CX and try something new. The aim is to get as many pupils involved as possible and give them an enriching experience.
The Schools race will start at 10am. This will be confirmed closer to the event. Pupils will require a helmet and a bike. A bike with gears would be advantageous but pupils have used BMX bikes in the past. A £1 levy is also required to cover the insurance of the event.
As well as a mass participation event a School will be crowned Darlington CX Champions. The criteria for this is as follows:
Lower School boys. This consists of Years 7, 8 and 9. 4 best placed riders count
